One of the famous software communities in Barcelona that collaborates with Apium Academy is Software Crafters Barcelona. It is a community for developers, no matter what experience they have, who want to improve and master their craft.

Coding Dojos in Apium Academy

Every Monday Software Crafters Barcelona organize Coding Dojos and in most of the cases we host them in Apium Academy and meet like-minded people.
Principal Engineer of Apiumhub and our Backend architecture & Legacy Code Professor – Álvaro García is one of the organizers and moderates Coding Dojos every time it is organized in our space.

Normally developers work in pairs and the laptop is needed for every two people, so we kindly request that you bring your laptop if you have it.

A coding dojo is a safe space where we prioritise learning and having fun, using deliberate practice. Finishing the exercise is not the purpose (as the katas are usually long), you can finish it at home.

Most of the learning of the coding dojo will happen at home, when you dig deep into the topics we have jointly discussed. But it gives you a good push to discover new things, practice, grow professionally and find like-minded people in the industry.

Also, normally at the event of each Coding Dojo there is a networking session with beers to continue the discussion in a more relaxed environment.
